About Dynalloy

Dynalloy, Inc. is a manufacturer of a specific class of NiTi based shape memory alloys. Dynalloy typically manufactures these shape memory alloys under the trade name FLEXINOL®, to be used as the moving component of a specialty actuator. The wire is heated well above room temperature to perform work by contracting 3% to 5% of its length. This heating is often performed with electricity, using the materials own internal resistance. This specialty is Dynalloy's core business.

Dynalloy guides companies to successful use of SMA's in their electrically actuated products. By using state of the art materials, analytical tools, and techniques Dynalloy carefully guides is customers to viable designs helping determine the plausibility of a given application. This subsequently reduces the years of R&D commonly encountered when launching a new project with this technology.

Dynalloy also specializes in helping its customers terminate the SMA's by using standard crimping techniques to develop fully automated attaching solutions.
